Mitchell is a native of Livingston, TN.  He earned his BS in Art Education, with a focus in painting under the instruction of Professor Christine Koczwara. Since college he has been the International Baccalaureate Art Instructor at Cookeville High School, in Cookeville, TN, and also a co-proprietor of The Clark House, an event venue, in Livingston, TN.  Mitchell draws inspiration from his travels and the local landscape; he paints from photo references, and on site throughout the Upper Cumberland Region.
